In light of the many clients we serve each year with training, we wish to share some insights from the regulatory framework within which our training services are delivered.
Handicap compensation in training: what does it include?
A little bit of history: The right to compensation was established by the 2005 disability law and is intended to enable people with disabilities to have equal access to society. The provision of material or financial assistance is designed to compensate for the consequences of disability throughout life.
Any person with a disability wishing to undertake a training course must therefore be able to do so on adapted terms.
Take into account the difficulties encountered
The training provider must take into account the difficulties encountered and provide the necessary individual compensatory measures. This can include, for example:
The provision of specific equipment such as mobile and adjustable desks, adjustable chairs; digital resources and IT and educational equipment adapted to different disabilities;
✅ Part-time or intermittent care, with a training duration adapted to the disability;
✅ Arrangements for assessment methods, etc.
✅ Support, particularly during examination phases, with human assistance (sign language interpreter, scribe, etc.).
All Arcante Consulting training organisations provide training courses accessible to people with disabilities.
The disability officer is available to discuss any necessary adjustments that will accommodate the specific needs of all your participants!
